Early spring on RSPB Ham Wall in Somerset

THE warm weather has kick started spring with amphibians, reptiles and insects appearing at last, and resident birds singing:

toads
brimstone
comma
roe deer
great crested grebes

slow worm
toad

  1. Last year there was a frog or a toad on my allotment. There are no formal ponds there but I'm hoping they will return (to eat the slugs!) this year too.

  2. They appear from seemingly nowhere I hope that it arrived and bought its friends!
